DISC profiling
DISC personality profiling to support development of teamwork, communication and practice dynamics

Overview:
We provide personality preference profiling for individuals and for teams using the DISC Personality System.
This non-judgmental assessment used by more than one million people every year to improves teamwork, communication, and productivity by helping you understand yourself and others in a profound way.
Profiling helps you become a better communicator, minimise conflict and positively influence those around you.
We often deliver DISC profiling in combination with other services to add depth and bring to life theory associated with communication, culture and team dynamics.
Who is this suitable for?
Wherever possible, we encourage whole teams to participate in DISC profiling, however this service is also available to individuals.
Service classification:
Individuals, practices & teams, corporate organisations
Structure:
Initial profile - delivered to each participant as an online questionnaire
Follow-up consultation - each person will meet online with our accredited DISC practitioner to discuss the response to the questionnaire and for any adjustments to be made.
Profiles shared - all participants will receive a detailed report of their profile, together with advice and suggested action plan
Follow-up - depending on the other VetLed services that the profiling was associated with, there will usually be further opportunities to build upon what has been learnt through the profiling process. Profiling is often followed by a two-part team dynamics workshop - with part 2 being delivered once everyone has completed their profiles.

All the talks I watched on Thursday were amazing, but I especially enjoyed the importance of non-clinical skills development in university and EMS. It was really refreshing and empowering to watch these incredibly inspirational women speak about their journeys to get to where they are now. It was truly eye-opening and awe-inspiring.

Wow, what a conversation starter!
The VetLed Civility training was very impactful really focusing in on how our behaviour towards each other affects patient care. VetLed presented theory and hard-hitting stories but also left our team with a system of tackling incivility practice-wide. This course fitted the bill, Thank You!

'Dan's talk was fascinating and thought-provoking. It is so applicable to our work in the veterinary sector, both in terms of communication and Human Factors within our practices. Learning in these current times to be adaptive with all that is going on in the world around us is so important.'

"The VetLed Leadership Programme has been an invaluable resource for our leadership team, helping us explore our individual strengths and challenges while aligning our leaders towards a common goal. From the first session, we noticed a difference in confidence with leadership decisions, using tools that prioritize people and foster a healthy and sustainable practice culture.
Their supportive and engaging course leaders provide real-life insight into veterinary practice and create an environment where the team feels encouraged to speak up in group sessions.
I would highly recommend VetLed for any team that understands the importance of their people and the team culture in creating success.”

“We worked with VetLed for an intensive, and brilliant, year. They created a bespoke programme for our practice after chatting through where we were and where we wanted to be. To say it was helpful is a massive understatement! They know what they are talking about and the observation days they conducted gave us massive insight into areas we had not seen we could improve on. I can't recommend their help and support enough!”

“Training and understanding of how the brain works has encouraged people to be braver and speak out. Staff understand it is better to talk to each other rather than harbour resentment. There is now an overall improvement in tolerance and respect towards each other, particularly where there had been previous issues. People are more confident to suggest ideas and more willing to listen.”

FAQs
Personality profiles are useful for better understanding ourselves and each other, however like any stand-alone tool they are not a complete guide. DISC help you recognise your preferences towards certain situations and behaviours, together with your propensity towards particular responses. You will understand which tasks and circumstances come naturally and which ones will be challenging. Profiling can help leaders with allocating roles in a team and/or help to identify areas of potential weakness.
It is important that profiles are not used to define someone or to excuse particular behaviours - they are a chance to build curiosity and to promote learning as part of a systemic approach to team and practice development.
